Gratitude & Contentment

Some of you have heard my cry for a baby. It was an ache, to be honest, that stemmed so much from discontent and jealousy. I know for many people having a baby is a selfless act, and if God sees that we need a baby or babies in our family, I am more than willing to be a mommy. He has shown me though, at this time, I am to enjoy what He has given me. After 35 years of being completely single, I am married to my best friend, I have four sweet stepkids and a grandson, my darling sister is practically my daughter and my kitty cats are the most babyish & cuddly sweeties I could ask for.

Wow, am I blessed! I have a lot of problems with trust in many areas, but in the area of me having or adopting a baby, it is in the hands of my sweet Savior and I know without a doubt that nothing is impossible with Him. Resting right now in what I have..Praise Him!!

Cozy Homes of Catwomen

Catwoman lairs that inspire me with coziness..after seeing Anne Hathaway's uber cozy den in the new Batman (which I can't find any images of), I did a search for catwoman homes throughout the eras..what I found delighted me..last night I got to see a couple of episodes from the 90s animated Batman series (an early birthday gift from my hubby..have I told you that I love all things kitty cat for gifts, especially kitty cat movies). We watched the episodes The Cat & Claw 1&2..

Boys & Fur Babies

This past Thursday, our son Christopher had a friend over and they were working in his room, taking apart his bed. The two kitties, Tabitha & Tink and our puppy, Angel kept going in to the room and checkin' out what the boys were doing..sneaking around and not wanting to miss out on the adventure. The boys turned it into a game, calling Tabitha the sniper, Tink the spy and Angel the heavy (for heavy weapons holder). Every time the babies would come in, they would name who it was and then covertly mutter, "Secure the briefcase." These boys talk tough about not liking the fur babies, but secretly, I think they are amused and endeared to them..;)

Kitty Rituals

Our kitties and their cute quirks! Toby, 5, helps himself to nibbles of mounds of lettuce that grandmama has washed and laid to dry on clean cookie sheets. Tabitha, 1, enjoys licks of mama's morning vanilla yogurt. Tink, 8 months, loves slurping water out of the lid of mama's water bottle. These rituals of things that delight them are sweet illustrations of the sparkling personalities of our kids in fur coats..

Kitty Insights #2

Love the approach of my 3 kitty babies..was watching my baby Tink last night try to decide if she wanted a drink of my water..unlike others animals who just attack what they want, kitties approach actions with caution & deliberation..I really like this example..I so easily decide what I want too quickly and then there is no root for me to hold on with when the wind starts lapping me around..I need to think, question and make sure it's what I really want & is best before I dive in..
